How Rachel keeps you safe.

Modern Microblading & More is a nurse-run studio in Petoskey. Here is what happens before, during and after every appointment.

  1. Step 1

A health screen before every appointment.

Before any appointment, including touch-ups, Rachel reviews your health history, medications and allergies. If something has changed since your last visit, she wants to know.

  2. Step 2

    Patch testing.

If you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions, Rachel can do a small patch test with the pigment a few days ahead. Ask for one when you book.

  3. Step 3

    Single-use needles and blades.

Every needle and blade is sterile, single-use and opened in front of you. It is thrown away in a sharps container when your appointment ends.

  4. Step 4

A treatment area set up and cleaned for you.

Surfaces are disinfected between clients, the bed is covered fresh, and everything that touches you is either single-use or cleaned to a medical standard.

  5. Step 5

    Pigment quality.

Rachel uses [pigment brands]. They are made for permanent makeup, sterilized, and free of fragrance and parabens. She can tell you exactly what goes in your skin.

  6. Step 6

    If you have a reaction.

Text Rachel right away with a photo. Redness and swelling for a day or two is normal. Spreading redness, heat, pus or fever is not, and she will tell you whether to see a doctor.
